I am a California state Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and particularly couples.
My belief is that people are genuinely good and resourceful. Through careful listening and respectful questioning, we will explore the issues that have led you to seek therapy while identifying the strengths and resources essential to promoting wellness.
My counseling style is collaborative and integrates Solution-Focused and Family Systems approaches. I am trained in EMDR, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, and am Prepare/Enrich Certified. As a facilitator of teen groups, I have extensive training working with families dealing with conflict management and issues related to separation or divorce.
I am currently accepting new clients, and have flexibility on weekdays and Saturdays. Please feel free to contact me for a phone consultation to determine whether we might be a good fit.
Education and Training
I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance from the University of California Los Angeles.
I completed clinical internships at David H. Fox Counseling Center in Chatsworth, CA and Saban Community Clinic in Hollywood, CA, working with a widely diverse population and have since worked in private practice.
In addition to my clinical internships, I facilitated parent and youth groups that offer support and guidance to improve communication, promote structure, and cooperation in the home to achieve the goal of family preservation.
